Services for 11th Graders (First Semester)
High-school juniors are in their last full year
of academic study before applying to college. College Prep Counseling's
consultations for first-semester 11th grade students and their families consist
of multiple meetings with the student and family, research and information
gathering on behalf of the student, plus phone and email communication.

for 12th Graders page.) Areas to
be covered include:
- Overview of what colleges will be looking for in the student's high school experiences
- Review of the student's academic record to date
- Advice on selection of college preparatory academic courses for remainder of high school
- In-depth interview with student to determine student interests and
to recommend related extracurricular activities and leadership roles
- Guidance on how to determine the right size college (small, medium, large, extra-large) for the student
- Recommendations for specific summer activities related to the student's interests
- Advice on making the most of college fairs and college information nights
